Default Urgent help needed!

Got a 40 degree day up here in Minnesota. Finally attempting to swap out a new MPFI spider on my 1999 Blazer. Studied videos, etc. to prepare. Dis, assembly went well enough except at the very point where I am attempting to lift off the plenum. It is resisting. It is loose, and slides a bit, but seems attached by something inside. All ten bolts are out, and everything I can possibly see is disconnected from the exterior. I thought the plenum should lift rather easily off.
There is one small electric component on the top left side of the plenum that is like snapped in to the housing. The electrical connection is off though. Could this be holding the plenum from releasing?

What am I missing? Hope someone can get me the answer today, as we will be going into the deep freeze again soon. Thanks guys!

What's probably holding it on is the gasket for the fuel meter body. It seals against the plenum, a firm pull upwards should get it off. Just make sure all electrical and bolts are out of the way and disconnected. And make sure your fuel lines are disconnected and out of the way or you risk bending and breaking.

When re-installing use a little bit of clean motor oil around the fuel meter body gasket or it will put up a fight going back on.

If it's the gasket holding it, it is seriously defying me . The plenum is quite loose with a quarter inch or more upward play in the front, and it slides left to right. It feels stuck like a hose may be attached inside or something. Could a line to the regulator be holding it? I am afraid to reef on it much harder for fear of damaging something inside. I have been pushing down on the fuel meter body as I left the Plenum. Shouldn't free up from there??

Default Idea

Is there any studs in place of bolts ??
Studs can bow very slightly giving resistance in removal. Take a quick look as not to damage anything

Here are some manual excerpts from my 1999 GM manual that might help.
