vaccum leak i think....
ok, last couple of days i have had a weird problem with what i think is the vaccum lines in the dash hvac realm.
after i shut off the engine i am getting what sounds like a ticking from behind dash/radio area. (solved: actuator needed a little wd40) then when i turn the engine back over the vents blow then switch to flr/defrost (which is where i leave it normally). to me it seems like the lines are leaking out, causing the dampers to move. maybe i am off on that but i dont remember the system having to "repressurize" after startup all the time. whole reason i noticed the vents is the nice puff of dust that blew out. (never use them in winter) (solved: solved line had small nick in it, dash apart one time to many)
(related???)
also once in a great while just shortly after starting the engine i get what sounds like a thud noise on passenger side (happens maybe once twice a month), dont know if its related or not. it happens without me doing anything other than turning engine over, no putting in gear or any movement at all. (***************still need help on this one***************)
i checked the hvac control panel yesterday not the leak cause (man. hvac). at this point i am just looking for pointers before i go chasing this down.
thanks.
