Default vaccum resovoir

there is no vaccum resovoir on my 2000 blazer. i found the main hose from the motor was leaking so i fixed this ,i then plugged the line that has to go to the bottle resovoir, when i use the veicle she is hesitant up to 40 k and when i put it in 4x4 its like its slipping in and out every so often. now when i take off the hose going to the transfer case the blazer will run fine no hesitation but of course the 4x4 cant work, im wondering does this resovoir store vaccum and this is what is happening?

Default RE: vaccum resovoir

You should have a reservoir and it should be located in the driver side fender. The function of the reservoir is to maintain steady vacuum pressure while the engine may not be pulling the required amount. There should be a check valve between the engine and the first T in the line. From there it runs to all of the vacuum powered accessories. You need to make sure that you have the reservoir in the system, that the check valve is installed and functional, and that the hoses are in good working condition.

Thanks for the reply to his question. I was researching all day yesterday and today trying to find out what a vacuum hose was that went to the motor with a check valve and a tee as you described here. I have tried looking for the reservior from the engine compartment but the short hose would be only long enough to hit the fender area.. approx 4" long. I guess its time to remove a fender and connect her up. This will now finish my LT1 installation.

Thanks again!

It should be in the driver side fender right at or near the firewall. Black plastic filler plate looking thing..

Default hesitation in 2000 blazer

im trying to figure out now why my 2000 blazer hesitates from start up to about 45k? its starts perfect, idles around 500 to 600 rpms, after around 45k runs perfect and smooth. just drove into city on highway and ran like an 09. but when i got in there in traffic
it started doing it again. but i noticed if i started off really slow you could barelynotice it ?i still think its a vaccum problem for some reason, is there a gasket under the throttle body that could be bad also when ichanged plug wires rotor cap and distibuter i noticed there was rust around the metal thing coming up out of the middle where the ror button sits? anyone

Replace the filter ASAP. The MAF sensor is between the filter box and the throttle body. Have a look in the DIY section for a how-to on cleaning it.
