i have a 96 blazer with a fuel gauge that always reads empty. i replaced the fuel pump/sending unit (which i tested prior to installation) and that didn't fix the problem. i also replaced the instrument cluster with a used one and that didn't do the trick either. so now I'm checking the wiring and my question is: how many volts should there be going to the sending unit? right now i have 5 volts. I'm stumped so if anyone has any ideas on what else i might check id sure appreciate it. thanks
