Exclamation VSS Location

Where is the speed sensor on my 2000 chevy blazer? I have a HAAYNES REPAIR MANUAL and can't find it in there anywhere..........HELP

2wd, it is in the tail housing on the back of the transmission.
4wd, it is in the rear output housing on the back of the transfer case.

thnks, does it require any special tools or anything? what does it look like?
