Default Water Leak leads to Burning wiring

Our 2004 Xtreme Blazer had water on passenger side floors ( very Heavy Rain ), Went to move it near the shop to dry it out, No Start No Spark. We tried again two days later, Started & drove it 60 miles The next day the alarm went off by itself, When checking it I started it, as soon as I did, smoke was coming out around the power door lock, It took ten minutes to disconnect the battery, By this point We had smoke at the Door lock, under the dash by the hood latch & way below the engine bay fuse box.
Was able to start & move it, Currently using a dehumidifier & fans to dry it out... Also pulled the door lock fuse, How screwed am I

Does it have an aftermarket alarm or remote starter? Never should have burned any wiring.

Identify the burned wire (color) and/or where exactly it goes into the underhood fuse box. Report and I'll try to help.

I think the alarm is the factory type (horn was beeping) no remote start...

The first question is if something just had a component failure and overheated or was there excessive current draw due to an unfused condition. I agree with Les, you need to locate the scene of the crime to determine what failed to find the root cause.

Did the initial smoke come out of the passenger door lock?
We had previous cases where water ingress into the doors took out the switches or door lock actuators.

Well I got into it... all the wires to the drivers side actuator are burnt completely... as those wires merge with the next group of wires from the switch. some of those are damaged all the way though to the cab... Crazy thing the 15amp fuse never blew... Other than the door locks every thing works ( today )
Wondering if I could... Replace the door harness... seal up the section that goes into the cab... Re-tape what I can.... or?

Leads to dash side fuse box area

Only one is melted here

Wow that is a mess. Did the door damage the wiring harness or did they damage it during the door replacement?
