Water on my seat belt!!!

Water on my seat belt!!!
So the other day, after a little rain I go to put on my seat belt and its soaked. Not dripping, but noticably wet. A buddy of mine that has had a 99 and now had an 03 Blazer said he thinks its getting in at the roof rack bolts on the front drivers side and running down onto the seatbealt spool. Anyone ever experience this, or have any other ideas? I brought it into Chevy and they told me to come back when their "water specialist" is in the following week. I hate bringing my truck in to any shop, because no matter what I say to them, I always find new sratches and grease marks everytime!!!

RE: Water on my seat belt!!!
Ive took my roof rack off and, on mine, there isn't anything that seals it off to the interior of the car but the screw. Try tightening it. If that dont work, take the screw out and seal it with thewater sealant of your choice.

Yea so apparently leaking roof rack screws are a common problem on 98+ Blazer and the like. So I took it in today and they fixed all 4 corner and all 8 screws with sealant and new washers. Also, the mechanic said there is tsb's from chevy on this problem. Well im just happy I noticed it, because he told me like 3 days ago he had a 00 ZR2 in that was leaking from both rears for quite sometime and the whole truck was wet. Anyways I hope nothing else like this happens, cause its annoying and my trucks practically new. But as a plus while I was there I got hooked up with a free new high mount rear brake light and a lead on a used but mint full leather interior. My third brake light had a little condinsation in it and they were able to warranty it for me. Goes to show you that being somewhat nice and buying people a cup of coffee sometimes goes a long way.
