water noise

ok i got me a 99 blazer ls 4dr 4x4 and i noticed a problem the other day well i didnt but my wife may have ok we was pullin on the thruway the other day and she says she heard like a water noise dripping or swishing around prolly right in between us i didnt think much of it at first then we pulled off did what we had to do then got back on thruway and as i accelerated i also heard this swishing noise of water it didnt last long but i did hear it and it was never there before so i tried it again and yes there is something really going on either in the heater core or the tranny maybe even the engine itself but i would really like to find out where this water noise is comin from so if anyone here would be able to tell me what this noise could be comin from i would really appreciate you input my thoughts and im no expert but could it be from say a bad water pump no pressure or a plugged heater core or maybe just tranny fluid swishing around i dunno something any 1 thanks guys if ya can help me on this 1

Default RE: water noise

This is typically a result of a low coolant level which will allow air into the heater core. The sound you hear is the movement of the water through the trapped air.

Taking Kyles advice and put it with the fact that you need to get the air out of the system to get the noise to stop!!
