Just changed my water pump it was a fun job... not really! Thanks to all your post it made the job easier! Just want to add that the water pump nut is 36mm and for my 2000 blazer 4x4 it was a regular thread to tighten not reverse. Got the wrench from shucks/ o'riely auto parts for rental. Action auto parts had the the GM fan clutch wrench ( performance tools #w80498) for 18 bucks that did the trick... awesome tool! Hunted for half a day to find the wright tools and had to rent from two different stores to find a 36mm wrench from the fan clutch wrench set. New hoses, thermostat 195, rad cap and she was good to go!
