Default Weak Fuel Pressure

Hello guys, I'm on the verge of ordering a new fuel pump but need some opinions on my fuel pressure to confirm. So I have noticed it's taking an extra crank to start recently, started only on cold starts now it's also on warm starts. I have also noticed a lack of power, and weird sound coming from the pump. When I tested fuel pressure it would prime to only 52 psi, as opposed to the 58 psi I used to get, and while cranking I noticed the pressure drop to sub 30, where it used to hold 50 psi strong while cranking. Some videos below of the pressure now and when it was working good. I will also add there is no leak down in the fuel pressure.

Yeah it seems like the pump is not quite up to snuff. Should really snap up to the pressure during the prime.

Thanks Les, I got back out there yesterday and saw even more stuff. My fuel pressure was bouncing all over the place, and I checked the engine vacuum and it was constant as the fuel pressure was bouncing. I think I will go ahead with the new delphi pump (acdelco not available for 2 door) and a new filter, assuming you think this is a problem with the pump too. I drove it out on the highway today and it does seem down on power, but still works pretty well other than that I think for having fuel pressure like it is.

I'll let you and Les do your thing but I am curious, what is the brand and age of the pump that's in there now?

George

Hey George, I haven't replaced the pump so I'm unsure. It has been just over 3 years since I got it.
