wet carpet update!!!!!

hello,everyone i have some info for you.I have had a bad water leak in the cargo area and the carpet would be soaked,well i tore into it today while it was raining outside and found that the third brake light mounted on the roof had been leaking down through the hole where the wiring is,so it was running down the trim inside and gathering in one area.so what i did was silicone around the entire light,i will replace the entire light in the spring,but i'm suprised that out of all the people on here no one mentioned this as a posible cause,anyway i hope this helps someone else on hehe with this problem.........
