I know it's a whole bunch of questions, but this is how my gear selector looks like.

I know there's a ring of something missing but haven't been able to find anything to fix this.

 

Look as though the shifter boot is mis-mounted...from what I can see looks like nothing is missing just not mounter correctly..unless your is missing the clip like item that connects it to the console..Good luck-Jerry

boneyard......there is a clip like item that attaches the handle to the shaft..there also is a clip like item that is attached to the boot..I don't believe you would find that separate..You most likely need the whole boot if I am understanding this correctly..junkyard is the way I'd go..
