Default what is the part I need

Hi guys. I am replacing my hug assembly and abs sensors brakes and so forth. I am trying to figure out what the name for the seal is inside the front spindle. Is it the front axle seal? cv axle seal? I dont know and apparently no local parts place does. I even brought my spindle in for them to see and they can not match another seal to it. I have auto zone and advance auto parts near me. So if someone knows the part number then that will be a plus.

Sounds like you are talking about the INNER seal on the front hubs.

SKF Part # 21961 {#3250733, 560680} Shaft=2.201"; Width=.197"; Outside diameter=2.7410"; Bore=2.738IN
4WD; 2 required per vehicle; Front

That was copied from Rock Auto's website.

Chevrolet --> 1996 --> Blazer --> Brake/Wheel Hub --> Wheel Seal

Click the link, then it's about 3/4's of the way down.

Seems odd that the local parts dealer can't look it up........

Hope this helps

Aaron

EDIT: Advance Auto Part # 3553

If your are replacing the hubs, that seal should already be included in the hub assembly.

This is going off that you stated you have a 4X4. Are you talking, perhaps, about the shaft seal going into the differential case?

That's what I was thinking, too. But he did state that he brought the old one in with him. Possibly replacing with used parts Either way, any decent parts dealer should be able to source the items needed.

If you're still unclear as to what part you need, you might want to post a couple of pictures
