Hello,
I have a 1995 S-10 Blazer and I'm not really sure what some of the parts are. WEll, I'm not really sure what A LOT of the parts are, but that's a whole bunch of posts for the future.
Specifically I am trying to figure out what these two disk-flying saucer thing-a-ma-jigs are under the driver side dash. Theres three lilttle hoses that go to them. One is black, one black with a blue stripe, and one black with maybe a brown stripe. I don't remember.
What are these things? My AC vents don't change (stuck to the floor setting) and my cruise control doesn't work. I was thinking it might be associated to one of those. I've tried all three hoses in every combination possible and I still can't figure out what they are for. Not to mention the fact I can't remember how they were to begin with, and the HAYNES manual I bought doesn't get very detailed
Next time: Chilton
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks
Brother Dave

The 'disk-flying saucer thing-a-ma-jigs' are the vacuum actuators that control the HVAC system.
I think that the cruise control uses engine vacuum to actually pull on the throttle cable. Follow the cruise control throttle cable back to the cruise control control module, then look for a vacuum line. Follow this vacuum line back to the engine making sure that it isn't disconnected.
Is this truck 4wd?

No. It's 2wd.
Just to be clear, because I know NOTHING, the thing a ma jigs control whether the air comes out at the floor, dash or,.....I guess I;ll call it the normal place?
Any idea which one goes where?
Thank you for your help

Search is your friend.
I will say this, there is no need to figure out what each one does because from the sounds of it, the vacuum source to the HVAC system is not connected.
