Default whats the Neutral light on the 4 button 4x4 cluster?

I've seen this light (always unlit) & wondered how & what it was for. Possibly to tell me to put the truck in neutral when switching to 4 low? Never had issues with that. Is it to put the transfer case in neutral for being towed? I've tried monkeying around with the buttons, different combinations etc to see if I could get the neutral light to light up lol no luck.

The transfer case will shift through the neutral position when it goes between HI & LO ranges. It will not light during normal shifting of the transfer case between these two ranges though. IIRC, you have to hold the 4HI and 4LO buttons to get the transfer case to shift into neutral.

It will light up when you physically push the two button combination. (should show on the panel) . I use my Neutral all the time when my baby gets towed behind our motorhome. If it comes on otherwise you have issues...lol
