Angry completely lost HELP!!

Little history overhaeated my 99 blazer / 4.3 . i mean colant came up through the intake and oil mixed and everything. but once it cooled down it started again. So i Had a friend that has a shop and the tech there replaced my head gaskets. He told me that he index the distributor but only in one place So when he was all done and filled with fluids. Went to start it and well NO JOY!
The motor turns and you can smell fuel just had fuel pump replaced 6 months ago. Can the timming be of that much it just turns and seems like there is no compression? HELP help AND REMEBER IT WAS RUNNING BEFORE THE HEAD GASKET WAS DONE HAD LITTLE POWER AND A SPUTTER BUT RAN.

Moved to '2nd Gen Tech' since the 'New Member' section is only for introducing yourself and your truck, not for asking technical questions.
