Wheel speed sensor?

So I just had my check engine light go on again, it was my catalytic converter again, but also a front wheel speed sensor. I have known my front wheel bearings have needed to to be replaced, will doing that also fix this? (Yes the ABS light is on and has been since I got the truck, hence needing to replace the wheel bearings)
My main concern is that I do not cause additional damage while I wait. Could a bad wheel speed sensor cause damage to anything else? What about the differentials?
Also of note is that my back end mysteriously felt like it was slipping a couple of times today, there was no snow and ice and the road was dry and smooth. The problem first occurred though as I pulled out of a loose gravel drive on to the road, the wheel caught for a moment as I was coming out and tossed up a good dust cloud. Could it be related?

The speed sensor being bad will not cause any harm to any other system other than the ABS. The brakes will work just fine, but they will lock up on hard braking, just like every vehicle in the world did prior to ABS being available. If the bearings are shot, that can cause problems. Anywhere from the front end being out of alignment to losing a wheel. Being out of alignment will also put more wear and tear on the rest of the front end components. Replacing the front hubs/bearing will (should) clear the ABS light.
