The overhead light does not come on nor does the radio shut off when I open the driver's door. It is probably just a stuck button somewhere in the door but I would appreciate any help from anyone knowing where to look.

I'd start by checking the door switch. It should be located on the side of the dash housing in the same area as the interior fuse box cover.
