Default Where to get a splice for the W/S washer pump hose?

On a 2003 Blazer 2 door, I replaced the w/s washer pump and couldn't find a correct splice for the hose that comes out of the washer pump for about 12" to 18" to the first splice by the fender splash panel. It is to connect the two hard rubber hoses that eventually go to the windshield nozzles. Both same size. I went to AAP or AZ and got a generic splice and it split quickly. $3.99 washed away! Can I just use a hose from the coils sold for various purposes?

You can use any rubber hose, washer fluid is not corrosive.

I went to the AAP store and found the problem. When I couldn't find a straight splice the right size, I asked for some hose and they went to the back to fit the short piece of hard plastic hose to get the right size. It kept breaking off and the counter man said the plastic is just crumbling from age. I know the splice I had purchased was split, but he was correct about that plastic. It would crumble every time I tried to force it into the new vacuum tube. I am now wandering where to buy the plastic hose on a roll. If I use vacuum hose the entire length, I would still have to use a 2" section to adapt the 'L' shaped connector at the pump end and just connect the new vacuum hose straight to the good plastic hose to the firewall and the nozzles.

I had enough rubber hose aka vacuum hose from my trip to Advance Auto to use it all the way from the new 15.99 w/s washer pump outlet to the first splice halfway up the driver's fender splash shield. Maybe better know as the inner fender. I tested the install and it worked fine. I made sure the rubber hose wasn't pinched in the installation of the W/S washer reservoir tank. You have to remove the air box to get to the W/S washer tank. As usual, I had trouble with lining up the air box where it goes into the air intake. I will post a separate thread on that issue.
