I am trying very unsuccesfully to figure out where I should install the "hood pin switch" that came with my remote start.
I would love to hear or better see where anyone else put theirs?
Please do not give me the "just dont use it" advice. I am clumsy, I am forgetfull, and I do enjoy having my fingers attached to my body.
I look forward to the advice. Thanx in advance!

Top right corner in the picture is where mine was mounted. The pin contacts perfectly. hope this helps. drives side of the engine compartment.

I would find a spot similar to what cookbrady845 has shown. Anywhere will do so long as you adjust it properly.

anyway I can get a clearer picture?
Im not shure if my truck is diffrent, or if its the lighting. but it doesnt look the same.
how did you cut it out? did you drill or just snip out a notch in the edge?
i would rather measure ten times and cut once if you know what i mean!
help please!

I had one on my blazer when i bought it but the idiot who i bought it from took all the wiring out and just gave me the unit and what ever wires he forgot. The switch he mounted is up front right in front of the air cleaner on a little bracket. I don't know if he custom made the bracket or if it came with it but all he had to do is take a couple of self tapping sheet metal screws and screw it in, no cutting necessary.
