where is temp gauge sensor

hey guys, just looking for the location of the sensor my temp gauge reads from
NOT the ECT sensor.
my temp gauge reads extremely low and ive put in a new tstat new ect and burped system am going to replace gauge sensor but cant find it.
97 jimmy W engine

So you changed the one on the drivers side head, right?
then it's the one next to the Tstat.
I love this question.. so simple yet so confusing.
Note: 98 up have only one, the ECT.. maybe this is why.

my engine and front end are late 97 (front end has bulbs not sealed units, is it possible my engine is a 98 series style?
because my engine is similar to alot of newer ones (has intake off top to the right not out near the rad like older ones.

I know on the older ones the one in the head is for the gauge, and the one in the intake manifold is for the ECM. Probably the same on the newer ones.
