Whining noise under dash
Hi guys, I'm new to the forums and it won't allow me to post a new thread and I've searched here for similar problems, but haven't quite found it.
I'm hearing a whining noise down near the pedals on my 03' Blazer LS. It's not coming from the engine, it's actually right down under the steering wheel. It sounds like it could even be electronic, if that makes sense. It isn't constant and doesn't happen throughout the entire duration of my drive. It starts off pretty low pitched and then gets higher, then lower and stops. The whining noise lasts approximately 5-7 seconds.
Anyone ever heard of this? Sound familiar at all? I just bought this truck, and if it's something serious I'd like to fix it. Thank you

when the noise starts, listen under the vehicle near the front floor pan. see if the whine is coming from the trans bellhousing area. had a oil pump on the trans make a whine like that and echo through the firewall.

Hmm... I can only try, sometimes it happens and ends so fast I may not get a chance to do that. Every time i start the truck from here on out, I'll wait until I pull out of the driveway and see if it happens in idle.
Thank you!
Thank you!
