Will crank won't start

So I have a 2000 Jimmy that had purchased it started up fine and now when I try to crank it it seems like almost the spark plugs are wired wrong or something is wired wrong but when I loosen the distributer cap it cranks fine but I have yet to get it to start can anybody please help

Why do you have to loosen the distr cap, what changes?
When it will crank but not start check for 1" of strong blue spark with an even cadence at a couple of plugs.
If thats OK then do the fuel pressure test in the sticky.
