Default Windshield Wiper Fluid

Ok, so I know that some Blazers have the issue where a hose comes apart in the tailgate for the rear wiper. I don't know if my problem is similar or not. So here it is. If I fill the reservoir, I lose about half of the fluid, after 2-3 hours, while the blazer is just sitting there. Now my brother-in-law told me that the little rubber pieces between the motor and reservoir go bad, so I changed the one for the rear motor, but as I was putting gas in the blazer this morning I noticed that it was leaking again... It's in the same place as always, right behind the rear drivers wheel. Now if it would be the hose disconnected in the tailgate would it be leaking from there or more towards the middle of the blazer? Also I'm able to still clean the rear window, as long as there's enough fluid in there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

"It's in the same place as always, right behind the rear drivers wheel." it sounds like you need to pull the interior and see where the break is.

is any of the carpet wet back there?

None of the carpet is ever wet, I have a couple of boxes that are always back there, and they're not water damaged or anything.

Mine came apart at the usual spot and leaked behind the DS rear wheel. Pull the plastic trim panel and take a look.

Hey, just wondering if you found your leak. I have the same problem and was wondering how to get in there. Inside uh. I looked all over, but there, don't know why they run wet lines inside but that is just me.

I'm not sure if you noticed the date on this thread. The author hasn't posted in over a year. Not sure if he'll pop in and let us know the outcome. I know the topic has come up in other threads and I seem to remember a thread that has pictures of the typical problem area.

I got this one. Yea, it will leak behind the driver side rear wheel. Lift your rear glass, open the lower hatch and pull up on the plastic trim strip that runs across the floor. It is secured with clips. In the valley under the trim, along with several wire harnesses, you will see the black hose, It should be connected to a check valve and then to a 90 degree rubber elbow, then on to the rear wiper. Mine was disconnected at the elbow. The fluid was draining out of a seam at the left side. Plugged it back in and secured with a small zip tie.

Yea thanks, I missed the 2010 thought it was 11 reading too fast, just excited about fixing problems and finding the solutions on here. My hatch opens with the glass straight up, so will the hose run up the inside of the rear cab?
