Default Wiper Arms going in Reverse?

Hi Guys,

Anyone had this issue or even better yet, got a fix to the problem, read below.

It's been anoying me for some time now, the rear wiper and front wipers are what seem to be working in Reverse. Let me explain further:

Rear:
The wiper blade rests to the right hand side half way up the glass. Themotor kicks in androtates to the left (which should be where the rest position is) and then rotates back to the right ending up halfway up the glass. Which is bad as it is a split rear and having the blade end on the glass on the right wont let me open the glass unless I bend the wiper back on the spring arm. It seems the wiper is working in reverse. Its been like this from day one and I think its the original motor.

Front.
The same happens on the front, however the baldesare atrest at the base of the windshield, however when first activated they go first downwards towards the hood about 1-2" then rotate up the glass and then back down to rest. I was in a friends car (also same blazer) and his first rotate over the windscreen and then drops down the 1-2" towards the hood, only when he has switched them completly off, when you use the intermitant they dont frop down out the way the 1-2"

Its not a major issue it just bugs the hell out of me watching the front wipers, and the rear is frustrating as hell also.

Do you think something is wired back to front, maybe in a relay somewhere, or on the control stick on the steering column.

Any help would be appreciated, maybe some of you could check and see what your wiper arms do when you first switch them on and off and when on intermittant and report back on the sequence, just to make sure I am not going crazy here.

Thanks,
Ryan.

Have you checked the rear arm for wear, splines stripped, not letting the wiper go all the way back to rest. Or was body work done and the arms not put back correctly...

Everything looks correct, spline nice and tight on arm and no slipping. No body work done in my ownership and paint matches very well, i.e. no overspray or excess spray anywhereat the rear.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

It seems that everything is running backwards? Im very confused.
