Default Wiper issue

My passenger side windshield wiper does sit down on the windshield towards the edge. I know it isn't the wiper blades because I have replaced them several times since i have owned and every single one does it.

Yes thats normal when you buy aftermarket wipers. I just live with it. I am not about to spend the money on getting a GM wiper blade.

That is what I figured that it might be.

I bought a set of Trico's and noticed the same thing. That and the driver's side wasn't wiping the area directly in front of me. I swapped them for Bosch Icon's and they have a much more pronounced curve. Hopefully it will work better.

I have been using the Michelin brand from Costco. They touch the glass at the end as soon as they move up an inch in the wipe stroke.

The rainx wiper sux on the driver side! It has too much curve might be from the sun, but seems like it was that way from the beginning. The center lifts off the glass about 1/8in mid stroke which is directly in the front of the field of view! A new replacement did the same thing.

My best bets have always been Anco Winter blades (red tips) and Bosch Icon

Note that straight blade designs (such as the Anco) will not make passenger side contact at the very edge

Note curved blade designs (such as Bosch Icon) will center lift (not wipe in the middle) on the driver's side in extreme cold (I've only had issues with them bellow 10f for extended periods and after over 6 months of service)

This is coming from my experience on my 2001 Jimmy which spends most of the year in the north country and I get long service life out of the blades I have (about 2 years each set). Granted I don't do much in the way of mudding, but they do see lots of inclimate weather service such as snow, ice fog, freezing rain and downpours

I installed Bosch Icons thinking that the Trico's I purchased weren't good. They weren't cleaning the center of the driver's side as Tenorsaxdude said. The Bosch's were doing the same thing, so I bent my wiper arm just a touch and they work perfect now.

Where did you bend the wiper arm? I've been having the same issue with my Bosch Icons?

Thanks!

I grabbed it where the metal arm joins the larger base and the far end. Don't bend it too much though. Just a little tweak, test it, then tweak again.
