how miney wires go to the starter i have 3 two from the battery one ( PURPLE) wire from the ignition switch

I don't quite understand.
What is the year and engine? What are you doing, changing the starter?

You have a large and probably a smallerwire to the battery terminal on the starter, both will have large ring connector terminals. Then you have a purple wire with a smaller connector that goes to the "S" terminal on the starter.

 

(Chevy Lover )its a 95 S10 blazer has 4.3 vortec auto im not getting any power to the rest of the truck thats i ask .am i missing a wire
