Unhappy Won't start---fuel pump?

I have a 2005 Chevy Blazer S-10 ZR2 that won't start.
The check engine light is not on.
2 years ago my Dad and I replaced the fuel pump - what a pain.

Here's what I tried.
I replaced the fuel pump relay and checked the fuses.
I replaced the spark plugs and verified I have good spark at the plug.
I replaced the fuel filter.
I used a loaner fuel pressure gauge but there was no movement on the gauge and it read 0 (possible Shrader valve replacement needed?)
I had my wife crank it over and then sprayed starter fluid into the Throttle body and it ran for as long as I was spraying.
I do not hear the pump running when I shut off the key or when I turn it to ACC.

It seems obvious that it is a fuel problem.
My question is-
Is there anything else that I should check before trying the fuel pump again?
If it's the fuel pump then why am I not getting a Check Engine light?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

The OBDII system does not monitor fuel pressure, so it can't turn the check engine light on if there's a problem.

Could be anything from the PCM not commanding the fuel pump relay, to a bad pump, a bad ground, broken wire etc etc. First step is check the ECM B 20 amp fuse in the underhood fuse block with a test light or volt meter. Must show battery voltage at all times.

In the underhood fuse block, next to the fuel pump relay, there is a vacant terminal. When you initially turn the ignition to the run position, (don't crank the engine) the terminal must show battery voltage for ~2 seconds and then drop to zero.

jPimp,
I don't remember what the brand name was. I have seen several posts on here that say to use the OEM. As far as I can tell the OEM should be a Delphi. No one seems to carry a Delphi for my 2 door, 4 WD ZR2. The dealership wants almost $600 for one. I can't afford that.

Captain Hook,
Thank you for the advice. I checked all of your suggested. The fuse did show voltage and the vacant terminal shows voltage when it should and it drops to 0 in a couple of seconds.

Thank you for helping me look for all of the ideas.

I dropped the tank yesterday and installed a Performance brand pump. Does anyone know if a Performance brand from O'Reilly Auto Parts is a good one or not?
I am going to cut an access panel tomorrow for future replacements. I'll try to take pictures to show how I do it and what I use. I'm going to use Diamond plate and sheet metal screws because I'll have to cut through the metal brace.
I'll finish the pump and tank install tomorrow...hopefully.
Thanks for all of the help folks.
Any suggestions will be appreciated while I finish the install.

I welded tabs to the piece I cut out and drilled holes for the screws to hold it in place.

As far as name brand of fuel pumps... AC Delco or Delphi are the only "good" brands to use in these vehicles. Anything else is a gamble, and you usually lose.
