Brakes were grinding for a few weeks, then...
SNAP! Nothing!
2001 Chevy Blazer 4dr LS 4WD
Truck has 135k and still runs real strong. I knew the brakes needed to be serviced. But, like everything else, it had to wait. Not enough pennies at the time. Well one week turned into 2 and the grinding grew a bit more intense and the brake power began to fade until, one day, they just stopped altogether. Front. Back. Done. It is now permanently parked and my family can't afford it to be.
Assuming the worst, does anyone have any idea what happened? If so, how much it might cost to get fixed? If so, do you live in South Florida?... lol
Thanks,
Mike

Is the red "brake" light on the dash on? Is the amber "ABS" light on? Brake pedal go to the floor? Is there brake fluid splattered on the inboard side of a tire? If so, probably drove it too long and blew out a caliper piston.
