Default Y-Pipe O2 sensors

First a little info:
'98 Blazer going to be running Microsquirt Sequential (piggy backed... keeping stock ECU mainly for ABS and SRS)
will be turbo'd with WB O2

Now to my question... I'm going to get a custom y-pipe fabbed up at 2.25" or 2.5" not sure yet and was wondering since I will be running a standalone for fuel/timing can I delete HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 and Bank 2 Sensor 1 when I replace the y-pipe?

stock exhaust currently has
HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 1 - drivers side y-pipe
HO2S Bank 2 Sensor 1 - passenger side y-pipe
HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 2 - pre-cat
HO2S Bank 1 Sensor 3 - post-cat

Does the microsquirt use any of the signals pertaining to fuel trim from the factory PCM? If it does, then you cannot delete the upstream (B1S1, B2S1) sensors. The PCM will freak out and richen the mixture to tabled values.

As far as the pre-cat and post-cat sensors go, you will need to delete the codes for them from the factory PCM via a tune or else have a check engine light that is on all of the time.

What are you going to be doing that you will need the add on fuel management device that cannot be accomplished via a tune?

Thanks, that's what I thought. But since the MS-II Sequencer is a fully programmable/tunable standalone engine management controller I won't have to worry about the PCM freaking out as it will not be controlling or have access to any of the fuel or timing.

I could get a custom tune for the stock PCM but I would rather use standalone engine management and have full tuning ablility any time I want and I will also be able to control boost without any other addon boost controller.

You will still have to program out all of those sensor codes so that the check engine light does not stay on.

You could do that too. If you live in a location that does inspections through the diagnostic link, then you will need to "fix" those problems prior to an inspection. That is the main reason why I stated that they should be removed. Once removed, you won't fail an inspection because of it.
