I've never had any problems with my inverter overheating and I've run my 140w Peavey guitar amp on it.

i am about to perform this install. all i need now is some longer wire to go from the ac plugs to the back of the center console. its a 400 watt inverter. it also has a usb power outlet. im going to measure the power coming out to see if it is sufficient enough to power my usb hub need for my truckputer.

my fan is really noisy on my inverter. im going to find a bigger quieter one from a computer to put inplace of mine. then install my inverter behind the glove box.

Computers don't have inverters...

They're converters, they turn AC power into DC power...

think america meant a bigger fan from a computer to replace the one cooling the inverter currently.

Nice looking install, but you may want to put an inline fuse on the 4AWG cable you have running from the battery hot post through the firewall. One short on that wire will kill your battary fast if you're lucky. If you're unlucky it will weld itself to the frame, damage anything near it and possibly start a fire.

Ask me how I know...
