How to remove Throttle Body 2nd Gen 4.3 - DISCUSSION THREAD

Default How to remove Throttle Body 2nd Gen 4.3 - DISCUSSION THREAD

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Step 1. Disconnect the IAT sensor harness connector.


Step 2. Disconnect the breather tube from the air cleaner outlet duct.

Step 3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct retaining wing nut.

Step 4. Loosen the clamp on the outlet of the MAF sensor.

Step 5. Lift the air cleaner outlet duct from the throttle body and remove the assembly from the MAF sensor.

Step 6. Remove the air cleaner adapter stud.

Step 7. Disconnect the cruise control cable from the throttle body.

Step 8. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.

Step 9. Remove the nuts retaining the accelerator cable routing bracket and position bracket aside.

Step 10. Remove the stud and nuts retaining the accelerator control cable bracket and position bracket aside.

Step 11. Disconnect the IAC valve harness connector.

Step 12. Disconnect the TP sensor harness connector.

Step 13. Remove the throttle body retaining studs.

Step 14. Remove the throttle body assembly.

Step 15. Discard the throttle body seal.

what size socket to loosen throttle body so that I can replace TPS more easily

how do I get info to change air injection pump that are as good as your
throttle body directions?

thanks-wall mechanic not an auto mechanic
