01 blazer bypass reccomendation for remote start
I have an 01 Blazer, 2 dr, due to having to replace the ignition key reviousely,i can see that there is a 3 wire plug at the ignition switch top (if i remember correct, maybe 2 wires, but i dont think so)
I DO have the SECURITY light on the dash that flashes, now to use the remote start feature, what exactly do i need to do to bypass this?
I have seen a few diff ways, but not really sure where to start, hoping to find someone with the same recent install. I am reading that i need to use dmm to test for resistance, then find a resistor, i dont know, i forget what all I have read, i just want this part wired up before winter hits again.
If someone can tell me exactly what to look for, and what to do to make my own bypass, I am good with electronics, and would rather solve the issue for $5 than pay $30-40 for the alarm bypass. I dont care if it is perm bypassed, as my alarm is way better, obviousely, i just don't want to be stuck not able to start it for 5 hours like when i put the new key in.
Anyone with a definitive answer, please help, throw up some pics, or link me to the correct site for my blazer, 01, 2dr 6cyl, security light on dash, i hear there are 2 diff poss types, how do i tell, etc. pics and links would be great.
Thanks in advance!!!
