2018 Head Unit in a 2005 Blazer, not a match made in heaven
Ok so basically I got annoyed with the 6CD RDS HU stock from 05 Blazer because I have something around 120GB of music and I can't even plug in my iPod when the radio doesn't have an AUX port let alone BT or an iPod dock. So I started searching for the HU that would make me more than happy. After a few months I had set aside some money and found a HU that would give most tech nerds an orgasm. I found and ordered a EONON GA9180A (Yes I was full aware my truck was not on the approved vehicles list) thinking it couldn't be that hard to break down their harness and make my own. well I was mostly right, I think I can fairly easily break down their harness and build my own however I'll lose my steering wheel controls (which I had hoped to keep).
So now I'm wondering if there's a harness conversion unit that could take The male (or female, cause I already bought a female port for my breakdown if I need it) 2005 Blazer harness and convert it to work with a newer harness [For example [Chevrolet Avalanche (2009-2011), Chevrolet Express Van (2008-2011), Chevrolet Impala (2008-2012), Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (2009-2012), Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD (2009-2012), Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD (2009-2012), Chevrolet Traverse (2008-2012), GMC Acadia (2009-2011), GMC Denali (2008-2011), GMC Savana (2008-2009), GMC Sierra (2009-2011), GMC Yukon (2008-2011), Buick Enclave (2008-2012)]
I've done a bunch of googling already and I've got most of the pinouts and have found some partial solutions for a harness but I'm just not satisfied that I've exhausted all my options before I start cutting up the harness that came with the stereo. I can take photos of everything I have and post them here tomorrow. I just created this account so I'm fairly sure I'm not allowed to post photos, plus it's like 1030 here and I work at 6am.
