21" "Death Penalty"
I guess my 6x9's are just outta style. O-well least I'm not going to have to buy hearing aids for the kids for theirnext birthday. The subs would make it hard for my boys to watch a DVD from the flip down screen with all the vibrating :-)
its not just constant bass. most cd players have tons of settings for the sub. you can turnit completely off or you can change to a different eq. if im tired of bass for a while i switch to the vocal eq and the bass is not nearly as loud and then my rearview mirror becomes functional again
ya, bass you dont know is there is really awesome.
sq systems arnt nearly as much fun, besides any car or truck is not the ideal place for a sq system anyway.......thats what a house is for.

what sort of db would you like to hit? mate of mine i currently killing the dBdrag sean here in the uk and the subs he has sold to states side seem to be killing the american market check out http://www.adassaaudio.co.uk/forum/they have amps that are pushing 5k rms and subs to match think last time i checked with him he was hitting the 155.4dB so if you want it loud wouldent go for a 21" sub they have alot of play and dont sound that nice.
21 inch sub to me is overdoing it you can make a set of 12's sound so nice and pound like no other in the right box plus if your looking for people to feel you coming before they see you the box they are built for can make it happen
not nec bro. going with your argument, 2 12's = a 24"
look at the Sd, (cone area)
Sd of an atomic apocalypse 12 is 85 square inches
Sd of the atomic ELE 24 is 414 square inches
