94 Full Size Factory Stereo question...
I have a 1994 Full Size Blazer. When I purchased it, it had the factory stereo disconnected and a new stereo installed in the center of the dash. The factory stereo still remains in place, but unhooked. I was wondering if there was anyway to run power to the factory stereo so the clock will display. I only want to use the clock on the factory unit. Any tips would be appreciated.
I tried removing the factory stereo to take a look at the back, but I couldnt get it out. I did see a yellow and white wire and a group of wires taped together coming out the back.
Below is a picture of the factory stereo for reference. Thanks...

I would say you just need to connect the ground, +12V constant, and switched ignition wires to the factory head unit.

SWART is correct.
youll need to pull the aftermarket stereo and splice the wires so you can power both units...
not sure how this will effect your stock fuses though... shouldnt be too much draw for the stock wiring if you leave the stock head unit off, and just have the clock displayed. worse case scenario dont turn both head units on at the same time.
your aftermarket unit will slide right out of the dash.. on the left and right sides there will be little release tabs, sometimes it takes a special tool but usually you can get to them with a couple small flat bladed screw drivers. youll have to depress the catches at the same time, and be able to pull the head unit out of the dash... sounds difficult but its not.
