96 LT Stereo just static

I'm new to the Blazer community and there are a few things I need to fix on my new baby. The first one I'm not sure about is the stereo. When I switch the radio on, it's only static. At least that tells me that the speakers work. I've tried putting in a CD but it rejects them since I think they're MP3s. This is the first time I'm dealing with car repairs myself, sorry I'm such a novice.

If you can get the radio to play a regular CD it might be that the radio antenna is disconnected.

yeah, I’m just having trouble finding a regular cd haha.

Lol... 5$ walmart bin... at least if it works, you have a good cd to make you feel like a kid again.. I'm actually trying to find a stock stereo and cassette setup. Got some cassettes I want to listen to...
