97 S-10 Speakers?
Hey guys, i'm working on replacing the stock rear speakers in my S 10 blazer. 4.3 4door. I haven't went out and bought the new ones yet- because the rear speakers have no sound what so ever, its not like there blown out, its almost like there not connected at all, could that be a wiring problem?
I recently repalced the Radio/CD player hoping that would fix the problem and it remains the same, no sound at all from the rear speakers. The dash and front door pannel speakers all work awesome. but the rear has no sound at all. Even if i turn the fade to the back the car goes completely quiet.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Cutler

The speakers could just be shot. I had the same problem with the rears on the bravada. Replaced them and worked fine.

when I bought my 97 the rear right speaker did not work. I went to a scrapyard and they pulled one from another 97 blazer that also did not work when I plugged it in. bad wiring right? nope. something in those chinsy speakers seems to fry pretty easily, i couldnt get any current to go through mine or the one they pulled for me. im guessing you have the same problem but if you have any kind of old car speakers lying around you could pop the door panel off and test it with it then you will know your wiring is good and the speakers are toast.
