Default add second amp to bose system

I've got a 2000 ZR2 Blazer with the Bose system in it. Problem is the front speakers are amped and are loud, but the rears sound flat and quiet.

I dont have the money to replace everything so Im wondering if I could buy a bose amp and splice it into the system to power the rears? Possible?

why bother buying a bose amp? prolly be big $$$

I dunno about the bose system speakers, but the stock 6x9's in these trucks totally suck, my sis's stockers in her 91 cavvy sound much much better than these. You can get a pair of speakers from 20-30 bucks and an 'aftermarket' amp and you'll be set.

well I have pioneer 4 way 6.5s and 4 way 6x9s but i heard you cant mix and match with the bose stuff. I've heard its all or nothing.

I've heard that you can but a 2 din deck with out having to chop anything as long as you get the dash bezel out of the 2002 and up S series. This true? Cuz I would change everything out if I could do that.

you can put a double din radio in those years. Have to find the dash kit, either 99-2001 or 99-2003. be aware, you will have to do some trimming of factory dash and/or the new dash kit. I would scrap the Bose amp, sell it on ebay and get a decent 4 channel to run your pioneers.

yep, I'd go with what hillbilly said, but IMO double din decks look silly. If you give us a price range we could come up with some good buys for you.........

Well I really like the Panasonic CQVD6503U - 6.5" indash dvd. My boss installed this deck in his Hummer H2, so I've played with it and think its pretty cool. I do not want to install a single din with a pocket, I have never seen one that looked clean.

I dont have the money now right now but this is kinda what I was thinking to do one day.

Panasonic CQVD6503U deck
6.5" componets in the front door
4" and tweeter from above set mounted to custom plate installed in the dash
6x9's coaxial, maybe componets anyone have experience with these?

I would like to keep the speakers the same brand, something good quality like infinity (my brothers are 3 years old and still sound excellent). No preference for amps and no sub for now, hopefully the above will have enough bass for my taste, and I will install the stuff myself.

This is what I could currently install as of today. (this was suppose to go into my 66 mustang but got put on hold for other projects)
Pioneer 4 way 6.5" - TS-A1680R
Pioneer 4 way 6x9" - TS-A6980R
Kenwood KDC-MP925
2 channel 640watt RMS amp (dont know the brand but powers the above 6x9s just fine.)

I like all the stuff I have now but how do you think it would sound in a ZR2 Blazer?

would sound great, an amp will make it sound alot better. Infinity does make some great sounding speakers, for a fair price.
