Default Aftermarket radio removal

Well ive got a 97 blazer that i just picked up and want to install my new stereo system i purchased for it(kenwood headunit, subs, amp, and bandpass box). Now the truck came with an aftermarket alpine headunit already installed with the dash install kit.

My question is, to remove the headunit, does the heat/ac panel to the right of it pop off? Are there any screws holding this piece in? This piece appears to be holding it in place. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Default RE: Aftermarket radio removal

there are 4 screws holding it in you have to take the trim off it and you can get to the 4 that hold in the heater controls then the 2 that hold in the cd player. what is wrong with the Alpine? does it work? if so want to sell it?
