Default Alternator

Has anybody changed out their alternator to a bigger amperage alternator or either run 2 alternators. I have a big stereo system and am interested in changing my electrical system for the demands of my stereo.

You can get an alternator that will fit in the exact space as your old one. Try Excessive Amperage, HO alts, Ohio Generators. I currently have a 300 amp Ohio Gen alt and am about to make the brackets to run my stock one as well, that will run only the car. the 300 will be for my system.

What are you currently running in your truck that makes you want to upgrade???

I would upgrade to at least a 200 amp alt, those ma audio amps are very very power hungry.
