Nice subs. Not a fan of the cap tho, worthless in my opinion and lots of others. Those amps are probably only pushing 1000 watts RMS if that. Doubt that the damage to your truck is because of the system. I have 4 times the power than you, and a single 18 and hit in the 150's 99 percent of the time, and i ahve no damage like that to my truck. But oh well, i will be talking to my fabricator about the brackets this weekend. I'll let all those interested know, PM me if you are interested.

The Damage is done from it , i know i was watching the screw come out of the window. Since the installation the roof rack has lost 2 of those bolts. Sorry to forget the amps are digital.

And what are the specs of you 18 ? cause lets say 2000 x 4 ...... 8000 wats for a single 18 ? Why so much, whats rms 2500 ?

Well for daily driver setup, i run anywhere from 4k to 6 k daily, on Treo SSX 18. for comps nd curps, up to 10k. The subs didnt much like getting 14k from two VFL 500.1's strapped at 1 ohm, and finally roached the VC.

The best place for a cap, if you want to use one, is on the headlights, when your bootin' down the highway late at night, lol, you get one or two bass notes out of 'em before their drained anyway, and then your alt still has to charge that, so it's not really doinga whole bunch... Well, some of them look pretty damn cool... But then again, if it was free... lol

Of course they still do it... a cap doesn't solve the problem... it only makes it take an extra second or so before it shows up, lol.
