i know, but i'm cutting back on budget. if a sub costs more than $150, i'm good... it kills me to say that but i am a full time college student with no job....

I don't think I ever paid $150 per sub unless it was $300 for both already in a box. I swear I'll buy some nice subs sooner or later. I finally got a decent power generating amp now I need the subs and box.

Lookin' foreward to the walk around.

I can't wait to see the final product of the build. i used to want to do this but i drive my car too much for me to feel safe with that much equipment installed let alone not insured. I might later in life when i get a different daily driver.. i'm honestly thinking chevy cruze haha

I feel your pain man I work full time and go to school full time as well ,thats why the rebuild is taking so long. And I drive my blazer all day every day, to work and school, 3 kids and 1 on the way, get paid under 10.00 an hour . If theres a will theres a way .Yah I'm broke most of the time but as long as all the responsibility's are taken care of then you can put alittle money aside . I had to wait 16 years for this system (yes im kinda old by age not by heart). So if I can do it anyone can.

^Much respect and congrats on finally getting it done/started.

Mack (MTopper) and I don't get in a hurry, take your time. And I do mean respect for being a lil older and being a family man and still being into car audio. Proving that it is a hobby and life style and not just a "fad" that kids grow out of. I'm only 24 but I was raised around car audio, remembering hatchback sub boxes from radioshack and when huge massive amps were only labled as 100 and 200 watts sometimes makes me feel like it's been longer than it really has been.

My brother is 30, just had his first daughter (I'm an uncle at age 20 YAY ME) He has 2 JL Audio 10w6 in his GTO and custom speaker pods.. In his daily driver, 2010 Avalanche, he has 2 12w6 in a mid gate box.. so, don't feel old haha. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.

My dad, at age 60, would drive my cavalier when i borrowed the Blazer and would listen to my system at full tilt so that says something

My mom is 45 and she nagged me to put a system in her car when I pulled mine out when I got my first car. She comes home from church on sunday just bumpin Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary. Or boomin' some Alica Keys or Beyonce'. Your only as old as you allow yourself to be.

My grandpa just had bone spurs burned off of his spine and 2 days after a surgery that requires bed rest for 2 WEEKS he not only fires up the riding mower and cuts the lawn he packs up and heads to Lake Erie OH for a fishing trip weekend. BTW he is 92...

My paw paw's a hardass. He cut his foot almost completly off with a axe when he was about my age logging, only thing connecting it was the thick tendon in the back. He wraps it and hobbles a mile and a half off the hill to the house and then gets driven to the hospital. He's my idol!

Yeah... Ozone your system makes mine look and sound like home stereo speakers wired to the factory tape deck, lol. Next spring/summer I might have something for ya though. I always ask people with insane set-ups this question. What was your first system comprised of?
