This amp, HiFonics Bx1205D on Ebay (new)

There are a bunch of Kicker ZX400.1's floatin around if you dont want to go that big

Kicker CVR's (two brand new for about 165 on ebay., NICE RE AUDIO (New on Ebay)
Alpine Type R's. Diamond Audio D3's,

there are a few choices there. and figure about 40-60 bucks for the amp kit. I would go ahead and get 4 gauge.

A deck helps a lot for component subs. If you really don't want to get one, then I also recommend getting the Infinity Basslink.

When bazooka first came out they were a great choice for augmenting a stock system because they had the built in amp and accepted speaker level inputs.

On the other hand, a good friend would help you throw it in temporarily and you could make a real price performance evaluation.

Bose does some wierd stuff with impedances and equalization.

A PAC AOEM-GM24is a popularway toget preout / RCA level signalsalthough I have never used one.An amp with a low pass filter will help make it a true sub amp although the regular speakers will still be straining to ty to reproduce the same lows unless you high pass them using a passive crossover / cap.

double check to make sure your vehicle is compatible
