hey i was just wondering what was the best way to hook up a cb radio and horn. the last time i did it the rubber around the power wire melted and the whole thing started smoking.

i had my cb power wire directly to the battery and then the ground was on the body mount under the drivers door. and i didnt have any problem but as far as the horn i couldnt answer that one.

the cb radio i wired the positive to the fuse box and grounded the negitive to the fire wall. if u dont want the stock horn then i would say just wire it with the stock wire but if not i would probaly wire it the same way as the cb but ive never wired in a horn

Make sure you fuse the radio.

to blazinrebel or whoever else: how did you connect it to the fuse box? could you possibly take picture or something. thanks tyler
edit: i currently have a cigarette plug on it.
