thats what im guessing...that is what id do. Drill it, put a grommet there and run the wire through

is there anything in the wheel well to worry about while drilling? like fuel/ brake lines ect.

just make sure your drilling high enough so that it goes into the hatch. all there is is a sheet of metal to get through.

did you have to drill through the plastic trim on the inside too?

on my blazer, the plastic doesnt cover the entire wheel well. theres like 4 inches or so between the floor of the hatch and the plastic that you can go through. you just drll through metal and carpet

this is an easy one how do i get the small plastic covers off of the grab handles so i can get to the screws. i tried today by hand and couldnt get them off
