Default Does bass hurt anything? And need a 15/18" sub

2 questions:

Does bass hurt anything in the short/long run?

Is there a comparable equivalent? Such as like going over train tracks or bumps?

I know rattling door panels and other things off isn't good, but what about to the engine or other places it REALLY matters?

Secondly, I was looking to upgrade to a 15" or 18" sub of 1000w rms or so. Currently have a 12" with 1.75 cubed ported box and 500w rms.

I had a 15" 750w rms in a 4.0 cubed ported box and the thing slammed way louder on the same wattage from the same amp.

I am convinced it's the box size that has a lot to do with it as well as the wattage, so I'm looking for something that requires 4.0 cubed ported or so.

Also, wondering what the best way to build the box would be? I heard sub up port back is the recommended enclosure for an SUV

You need to be really careful when bumping your music around a Ford of any kind, they are known to fall apart easily enough on their own lol had to do it.. But no you drive a Chevy haha it wont hurt anything, well besides interior plastic trim. jagblazer has a couple videos of trim falling off ha.

Also be sure to never bump too loud with your windows rolled up. Something to do with pressure and the speakers putting out air... I dunno just don't do it lol
