Door speaker polarity
97 4dr needs to know the polarity of the yellow and the brown door speaker wires on drivers side, front and rear.
I've searched high and low, on multiple forums and cannot believe this information seems to be non existent. The question has been asked before, but gets answered with incorrect information, or just simply ignored.
Anybody?

Polarity doesnt matter as long as all channels and speakers are same.
If your speaker polarities arent marked, use a dry cell.. like a AA battery to check. If connected one way, the cone moves out, mark the terminal to AA 'pos'. Or neg.. doesnt matter as long as all are the same. Then do as above
- note you cannot count on two similar but not job-matched speakers being the same voice coil polarity. esp aftermarket.
ah hell, since I dont have a life...
Now.. you'll note that the 'official' chart screws up on the right front with two 'feeds' Obviously the darker colors are feeds, the lighter are return.
Call the FEEDS pos. and return negs.. long as you do them all the same.

I just used the battery method and put them in today. Using a DVOM doesn't work.
The chart you supplied is what everyone else tells you to look at, however it is incorrect for this truck. LF, LR and RR doors have brown and yellow, RF door has DK & LT blue. Not even close, that chart shown may be for the HU wiring.
Just for the record, as nobody has seemed to post this yet:
LF, LR & RR uses brown as +
RF uses DK blue as +
