Double Din Install, Tonight! ?'s After searching....

For the price this thing seems to good to be true. I found a Brand New Unit on Ebay from a reptuable audio site, in an actual auction.... and didnt even pay what Amazons asking. Which I think for the features is a steal still.
Only finished tonight at like 5 its close to 1 now so I havent really played with it a whole lot.
The first test of the GPS, in the garage mind you and trying something I heard someone suggest, GPS(antenna as far under dash as you can reach) the Navi had full strength and picked me up in less then 10 secs.
The ipod on-screen touch menus and remote are way better than touching the ipod all day. You do need another cable to view video of the ipod but no biggie. They supply a media hub, seen down left of the photo with another aux2 and a USB.
Jensen gives to trim plates and with the blazers somewhat ovally design I had just a slight gap to the left drivers side. I used Black tough foamy type weather strip and it bocks the light and fill the dash nicely.

Man you think you had a hard time?
At least the newer models are easy to just slap a double din in.
I had to gut the plastic behind the head unit to fit it in there.
Check out my pics I just uploaded

how do you get the double din in? I have a double din Pioneer that hasn't had a home since I totaled my Expedition. Seems to me that in my 01 that hole for the radio is 1.5 din.....

his is an 04 and some 02-04 blazers actually came with the double din. Also the newer bravadas have them, thats where I got my double din dash from. And I think you convinced me the jensen is the way to go. Its on sale at pep boys right now for $350

POH- If you get a stock double-din dash bezel your good to go. Get some door weather strip and box the hole out from the back nice and it will look very nice, not some hack job. Like I mentioned before a little trim in the back of the dash and the right bracket for the radio, it was simple as pie.
All that said heres a day pic for anyone who cares...
After my first full day of using it im still finding cool stuff and am very pleased. I use Navi Alot and change from ipod, cd all over the place and this thing took everything I could throw at it.
Love the usb media link thingy included... hide it somewhere low and no wires coming from the head unit!! You also might wanted to get the extra ipod and 3.5 cable the allows video from the ipod and also charges it!!! If you dont need video from your ipod you dont need the extra cable, use your ipod cable. GPS is quicker to a signal than Gary Busey in a ferrari and its got alot of info and views and 2 female voices and 1 male. Guidance mutes the music nicely and resumes without notice, make sure to turn the guidance vol. down when you first try, its set at 100 and was so loud in my car. All in all I love this thing so far and it really classes up the interior.
