I got bored and had a CB and spare metal laying around and wanted to practice my welding because i have never welded before and thought i would try my hand at making an anttenna mount. What do you guys think??? So that would explain the ****ty welds.

I'm all for making it yourself but, those welds don't look very healthy at all.
I know it's just an antenna mount.
What about the whip hitting the side? like at drive thru's, limbs, offroading, etc etc.
Plus your gonna have the coax hanging back there... that might not be good if it caught on something.

I agree with the touch the blinging nuts and bolts add to the look! Maybe box in the area where the coax will run so it's protected? It's cool that you came up with your own idea for a mount and looks good too! Where did you mount your cb?

here is where i mounted it in the auxilary tape deck I still have to clean up the area and make it look neater but I have house projects going on. But you guys get the idea. I got that peice from the junkyard so its ok. And about the bolts I understand the whole stainless nut thing but its under the bumper not in veiw so what would be the point???
